North American Drama Therapy Association is FPMR’s Newest Client

Raleigh, N.C. – FirstPoint Management Resources is pleased to welcome the North American Drama Therapy Association to its client family.

“We are excited that NADTA has joined our family of clients,” said FirstPoint General Manager Shayla Taylor. “Drama therapy has the power to make a positive impact on individuals in every walk of life and we look forward to helping the association further its goals.”

Drama therapy is the intentional use of drama and/or theater processes to achieve therapeutic goals and help people make meaningful change. Drama therapists work on a spectrum from mental health settings (like hospitals, clinics, and treatment centers) to communities (like schools and community programs) to social justice work (like advocacy and activism).

A Registered Drama Therapist (RDT) is a master’s level credential requiring coursework in psychology and drama therapy, experience in theater, and supervised internship and work experience. RDTs are board certified in the practice of drama therapy and follow the NADTA Code of Ethics.

“The NADTA is happy to be a part of FirstPoint’s team,” said Susan Ward, the organization’s president. “This represents a new chapter in our organization, and we are eager to continue providing high level leadership and programming for our members and those they serve.”

NADTA’s membership spans 40 countries around the world, with the majority of members living in North America – Canada, U.S. and Mexico.
